NaNo Update ("Oriens")

ravenna_c_tanWell, Oriens is progressing very slowly, in part because I haven't had much time for fic, and in part because what time I've had, I've been having faaaar too much fun with my RPG.
But I am almost finished with chapter one, which means my word count is a paltry 2500 or so, but ah well. As work deadlines get knocked off, the fic-writing time will expand.
Meanwhile, I put up a teaser on the NaNoWriMo site, where you can read (via Flash animation) what looks like the first few pages of the book. Click this link and then click on the lower right hand corner where it says "Turn" to turn the page. http://www.nanowrimo.org/userinfo.php?uid=139749
