Quick Update!

Oh, god, finally. I wrote the first 665 words of Oriens, the Tempus sequel I am writing for NaNoWriMo. I am way behind the pace, but I have so many freelance deadlines right now that it's a miracle I even pulled off that much.
The freelance projects include proofreading and line editing a book about the Red Sox, written entirely by a large team of well meaning amateurs who are prone to punctuation errors, misplaced modifiers, and cliches in their prose. So it is going rather slowly, and it's painful. Remind me not to accept a job like this again.
And the RPG I'm in started! OMG, so much fun! I've only been in one RP thread so far, but it is soooo much fun. And not nearly as much of a time sink as I worried it would be, since it all happens so gradually. What I do its proofread for 20 minutes, then check the RPG to see if there's a reply, and if there is, I add my bit, and then I go back to proofreading. It's actually turned out to be a nice motivator to keep me proofreading...
Chapter Three of Draco's Release will be coming from beta in a couple more days, I predict, and I will post it when it does. (And sorry about the massive point of view switch, Grace! I ended up cheating and inserting a section break in Chapter Two because I realized that some of that stuff in Harry's POV is going to become important later. I, um, may have failed to keep to one POV per section in the other chapters, too...)
