OK, one last post about the RPG I've jumped into, and then I'll shut up about it. I put up a sample entry of Draco's journal here: http://veiled-draco.livejournal.com/ and would love feedback on it.

Meanwhile, the game still needs a Lucius and a Lupin, among other characters (Harry, Ron, Snape, I think...). Casting is open until October 31st at [livejournal.com profile] veiledintention. We have Hermione, Fred & George, Molly & Arthur, Pansy, Blaise... You can see the list posted here: http://community.livejournal.com/veiledintention/921.html

Here's the scenario... )

Okay, that's all. Draco's Release (the sequel to Draco's Folly) is at beta now, and so soon I will begin to post chapters. That's all for fic news today.

Title: Halloween
Author: Ravenna C. Tan
Rating: R
Pairing: H/D

“You’re evil,” Harry said, as the door bell rang for the fourth time in ten minutes, setting off the remote controlled vibrator planted inside him. Why had he ever introduced Draco to Muggle technology? For that matter, why had he agreed to this? “Pure evil.”

“Halloween is a good time for that,” Draco replied, with a swish of his silver costume wand. “Don’t you agree?”

Harry did not answer—surely that was a rhetorical question—and he went to answer the door, his movements somewhat hampered by his costume. He picked up the bowl of candy, pulled open the front door, and then had to lean down so urchin dressed as a furry something could reach into the bowl. Woodchuck? Bear? He didn’t keep up with Muggle children’s television so couldn’t even make an educated guess.

Which made it all the funnier when the child, wide-eyed after a glance back at her mother who was standing at the bottom of the steps looking chilly, said, “What are you?”

He could hear Draco snickering in the background as he racked his brains for an explanation for all the leather and buckles suitable for a five year old (and her mother) to hear.

“I’m a shoe,” he finally said, and the child nodded solemnly and then scampered down the steps.

He closed the door and turned to find Draco sitting with his Glinda the Good Witch skirts gathered in his lap, beckoning him to kneel.

“Halloween,” he said, “is all about finding that alter ego inside, and having permission to let it out.” Draco looked down at him, biting his lip as Harry bent to his task. “I think I like this side of you.”

Harry couldn’t answer—his mouth was busy—but he found himself thinking and here I thought Halloween was all about eating sweets.
