And now the mass hunt to friend everyone I met -- across LJ, IJ, and Dreamwidth. (I'm the same on all three if anyone's looking for me: ravenna_c_tan...)
I had a nice chat with pir8fancier at the HD meetup that consolidated my feelings of why I love writing fanfic even if it's "for free" and all that. I realize that's part of the fun of it for me. It's writing that isn't "work" at all for me, so it's sustaining and creative for the pure fun of it instead. It's work-like in that I apply my craft and expertise, but it's for me and for my friends in fandom and not for "work." I also met benevolntgodes (I think I spelled it right...) and now have to look for her to friend, too.
Never did get to say hi to furiosity, tracy_loo_who, or chaeche. Did I mention the Snapecast meetup was really terrific? It was at this very fancy schmancy wine bar, where we tasted some nice wines and they had some nice little fancy cheese to taste with it. Yum.
Thus far I've come across one photo of myself, at the Snapecast meetup, but you can't really tell it's me. It's the back of my head... (Butch buns rule.)
Aha, here's one of the post-Drink & Draw continued drawing and drabbling group in the Great Foyer:

I'm way in the back, just to the right of GatewayGirl (in the red shirt) and behind Sasha (stupid_drawings) in the gryffindor striped shirt.
And check this out, Rana (chibitoaster on LJ, littleblackbow on IJ) is drawing a Draco for me in my book! Here:

Wireless where I am staying is really flaky, making it hard to look at photos. There are about 900 of them on flickr right now tagged with "azkatraz" (it was around 850 when I started but clearly someone is uploading more as I look...) so I will look at them later when I have better bandwidth!
