So I don't post about this one here a lot, because it's not fantasy and it's not erotica, but I have an original fic serial about a gay guitar player in the 1980s, Daron's Guitar Chronicles.
The story opens with him scraping for enough money to stay in music school and playing a low rent gig for a heavy metal cover band, and progresses through his trials and travails, grappling with internalized homophobia and the music biz.
The serial has been running for almost a year now. I post twice a week without fail, and three times if donations reach $25. Right now, though, the readership is on a campaign to earn not just one bonus post, but extra posts for a whole month. Instead of asking for money, I'm asking for people to help spread the word to grow the readership. Instead of trying to raise $100, we're counting 100 "points."
So every blog post or review of the serial earns 5 points, each retweet or Facebook mention is one point, each new follower for Daron on Twitter or Facebook is another point. The total is getting close to 50 points with 4 days to go in the campaign.
Basically, if you've been at all intrigued by the story, this would be a great time to jump in and say so -- you could earn extra posts for yourself and the other readers!

"I want to introduce you all to my friend Daron. Now, if one wants to get technical, my friend Daron is fictional, but don't tell him that. But Daron is also awesome, and he has a blog called Daron's Guitar Chronicles which tells Daron's story from when he was too young to drink, but old enough to be traveling the country with his band, gaining fame and not so much fortune along the way. It's also the story of a young man trying to find his way out of the closet in the 80's. He's left Narnia, and is actually occasionally poking his nose around the door to see what the view's like on the other side. Just be careful, because he might decide to slam the door shut at any moment, regardless of whose fingers might get squashed."

"If you loved music in the 80s, or if you love coming of age stories, or if you love stories about boys who are having trouble coming to terms with relationships and love, or if you just love stories about amazing characters, please check out Daron's Guitar Chronicles."
