Sep. 8th, 2008 12:57 pmOkay, after much teasing people in IM and such, for anyone who wants to connect the dots on my
hp_summersmut story HALFWAY (Snarry, NC-17), I've written up the clues, and at the end I put my interpretation(s).
The whole point of a non-magical Snarry for me is about being able to explore that Snape/Harry dynamic but without the burden of their past history. Hopefully I met that goal, and made for some very hot sparks to fly between two representations of the characters that feel real and "in character" regardless of what explanation one puts on it. I needed to have a canon connection and a canon explanation to keep the story working for me, but you, the reader, needn't accept the one I used as my premise! I rather like some of the ones people have come up with themselves! But here's what I was thinking when I wrote it.
