Final claims for HP Tarot

Just thought I'd pass this along to my f-list seeing as I'm a moderator of the comm hp_tarot.

Nearly every card that had no claims on it at all in round one has at least a fic or an art claim on it in round two! But there are still some left, and claiming closes this Thursday July 19th.

Among the cards that are left that are open for both art and fic:

Three of Coins
The two prompts are "The apprentice or amateur therein has received his reward and is now at work in earnest." (Waite) and "If for a man, celebrity for his eldest son." (ATA) I thought of course of a Draco story, disowned or on his own after the war, making his way and finding his own fame or success? But there are a couple of 'eldest sons' in the series it could apply to, including Neville Longbottom and Sirius Black.

Four of Coins
"The surety of possessions, cleaving to that which one has, gift, legacy, inheritance." Draco at Malfoy Manor? Or even a postwar Harry at #12, which he inherited from Sirius? Or perhaps the Mirror of Erised?

Five of Coins
"The card foretells material trouble above all, whether in the form illustrated--that is, destitution/poverty--or otherwise." (Waite). "A humbling blow to one's self-esteem." (ATA) Yes, I always think of Draco first. This one just screams rentboy!draco to me, postwar and destitute... and in need of rescue.

Five of Wands
"A posse of youths, who are brandishing staves, as if in sport or strife. It is mimic warfare." This card cries out for a Quidditch fic! The other prompt mentions financial gain, so a postwar scenario where Harry (or some other character) has gone into the Quidditch business somehow would work. Oliver Wood, even? Another thought I had was an AU where Draco and Harry secretly keep up the Dueling Club that Lockhart started... that could be fun and lead to... fun.

There are also plenty of cards that are "half claimed" -- i.e. they have an art claim on them but the fic claim is still free and vice versa. And there are also "half claimed" cards from round one of the fest that we'll allow people to do if they really can't find anything from the current list.

New Fic: Burning Day, H/D (NC-17)

The reveal has taken place at H/D Holidays! And so I may now reveal to you the story I wrote, which I actually think is one of the best H/D fics I've written in quite a while, Burning Day.

And I'm posting here my "author's notes" on the fic, some of which I wrote before the story was posted, some I added after the comments started coming in. Here you go:
