Well, I went ahead and signed up for the HP Death Eater Smutathon. (Here: [livejournal.com profile] hpde_smutathon) Deadline is March 31st to turn in the story which seems doable. I know from looking at other people's signup posts that there are a lot of folks who love dark!fic in this fest, which is why I signed up to do it. And it was another excuse to ask for Snape/Draco. I'm still boggled that the Snaco ship is not larger or more populous. The main reason I can think why is simply that writing Slytherin on Slytherin is hard work. Which is why I like it.

The Snape/Harry/Draco I've been working on for a couple of months now for [livejournal.com profile] 7spells keeps getting longer. Dammit. But it will be really good when done. I may start posting it piece by piece soon just to keep the energy going.

I also signed up for a fic exchange called HDS Beltane, which is Harry, Draco, Snape and to be posted in May. No no, twist my arm! [livejournal.com profile] hds_beltane

And the [livejournal.com profile] hp_tarot Fest starts tomorrow! I'll be kicking off the fest with a story that matches the first art post, which is an interpretation of Lucius as The Emperor by [livejournal.com profile] pinkelephant42. I'll give you one guess who I paired him with.

In totally other news, I seem to have picked up a typing bug where the letters d, f, g, and c I often type as a double letter when I mean a single letter. It started around the time I got a new keyboard and I suspected something flakey around those keys. But I just noticed 3 typos of that type in this post, and I am typing on a different machine right now. Makes me wonder if my left hand is going spastic. Hmm....

Okay, so the gift fic for me at [livejournal.com profile] hpvalensmut has not yet appeared (and now I can't remember what I asked for, but I hope it was Snape/Draco...), but I've enjoyed a bunch of the other fics there.

The one that I wrote *did* appear, and I'm trying to think of a hint I can give that will help people guess without totally giving it away. I have to re-reaad the story probably.

Anyway, the recs:

Hellbent for... Lace?, Ron/Draco, kind of a PWP but with just enough hint about their past to give it some meat. The appearance of the pink lace is sort of wtf? but maybe it was in the original request, I dunno. A nod to Valentine's Day maybe? Oh, I should mention that because it's Valen-smut, every story was required to have some element of love in it, which probably explains why the final two paragraphs of this feel like they leapt a little bit quickly into that realm. But it didn't bother me too much.

Portrait of the Hero as a Young Man, Snarry. This is 'classic' Snarry, right down to mooning, broom-polishing Harry and literature-reading, long-fingered Snape, told with a lovely, inventive twist. After the war, a portrait painting of all the surviving Order members is made, and a 20-year-old Harry Potter painting finds himself bored in his life on the canvas. The search for a place to wank leads to... other things.

Reason Ponders Will, H/D, and Remus/Draco/Harry. The headers call ti rather crackish, but it's told nicely from Draco's point of view and isn't cracky to me really at all. Not angsty, but not farcical either. Draco is plopped at Grimmauld Place to teach Harry Occlumency, and add hormones, etc. Sweet, but that's good for Valentine's Day...

Settling the Score, Draco/Oliver Wood. Soooo not my usual pairing, but you know how I am about Draco-centric fics. Quidditch!smut, grudgefucking, snarking, desperate!draco, what's not to like?
