Fic Rec! And International Talk Like A Pirate Day

I assume the sailing ship logo that appeared on the "horizon" bar on LJ tonight is in honor of International Talk Like A Pirate Day? Aye, matey.

Meanwhile, I've been gradually reading all the fics in The SHaDy Threesomes List and I just have to recommend this juicy long one in particular: "Quid Pro Quo T.O.O." by josanpq.

The premise seems simple--Snape teaches Draco and Harry to cooperate over winter break in the Chamber of Secrets--but there is much more to it than that. This is a long piece, novel-length, and the gradual breaking down of the barriers between characters and the many issues that come up and must be dealt with, reminds me very much of what I liked so much about one of my all-time favorite fics, "Cambiare Podentes: Invocare" by jordangrant. Just go read both!

These Draco/Lucius stories just blindside me. When they want to be written, I basically can't write anything else until they are done. I keep thinking that there won't be another sequel, but I'm sure I'm wrong. It'll just grab me suddenly and not let go.
